Boiler repairs: your questions
Can you come out today?
We keep slots free every day for breakdowns, so if you call in the morning there's a good chance we can get to you the same day. Emergency call-outs run 7 days a week, 7am to 10pm.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the property, don't use light switches or naked flames, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. They're free and open 24 hours. Once they've made it safe, we can repair the appliance.
My boiler is losing pressure. Is that a repair?
Sometimes. A bit of pressure loss after bleeding radiators is normal, and you can top it up using the filling loop. If it keeps dropping, there's usually a leak or a faulty part, and that needs an engineer.
Is it worth repairing an old boiler?
Often, yes. If the boiler is under about 10 years old and the part is available, a repair is usually the better value. If it's older, breaking down often, or parts are hard to get, we'll show you both prices so you can decide.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
Our diagnosis price covers the visit and the first hour. We tell you what it is when you book, and the price of any repair before we start.
